Record Number of Customer Go-Lives in 2014
Bridgman, MI, February 23, 2015 - Just two years shy of their 40th year in the business of creating ERP software for metalcasters, global leader B&L Information Systems celebrated a number of significant milestones, including a record number of customer go-lives and educational opportunities.
To cap B&L's achievements, late in 2014, the company was awarded the SaaS Excellence Award from Progress Software Corporation. This exclusive Global Partner Award honors Progress partners whose participation in SaaS enablement programs resulted in highly innovative offerings that achieved commercial success within their markets.

B&L has transformed our 38-year-old traditional software company into a cloud-based, SaaS ERP provider through internal financing and an unwavering commitment to serving our metalcasting customer base," noted Philip Laney, CEO at B&L Information Systems. One of the biggest innovations of 2014 was played out in mid-2014 as B&L's R&D department began beta testing on a browser-based web User Interface (UI) for Odyssey, the culmination of more than four years of planning and coding. B&L's goal in creating a browser-based web UI is to enable customers to further integrate Odyssey into their processes by simplifying the data entry process across multiple areas.
Anticipating upcoming customer needs, the company increased total staff to a record high of 34 employees, including new Client Services Support Desk staff and additional Professional Services staff.
