              B&L INFORMATION SYSTEMS ANNOUNCES SCHOLARSHIP WINNER
                  Shannon Carlson 2013 Recipient of Dick Laney Memorial Scholarship

Bridgman, MI, January 23, 2013  - B&L Information Systems announced the 2013 recipient of the Dick Laney Memorial Scholarship, Miss Shannon Carlson. Shannon is the ninth recipient of the scholarship, which was established in memorial to B&L Information Systems' founder, Dick Laney.

Shannon is a freshman at Southwestern Michigan College in Dowagiac, MI. She is majoring in Early Childhood Education with plans to work in the pre-school care industry and hopes to open her own day care business. She is also a member of the Lions of Michigan All-State Band, where she is captain of the color guard team. Shannon is the daughter of Kevin and Deb Carlson of Bridgman, MI.

The Dick Laney Memorial Scholarship was established in 2007. The scholarship is available to children of B&L employees who attend accredited colleges after high school graduation.
