BRINGING ERP EXPERTISE TO TEXAS

Patrick McCrevan to speak at 122nd Metalcasting Congress

Bridgman, Michigan, February 13, 2018 – B&L Information Systems, global leader in ERP software for metalcasters, is proud to announce that Patrick McCrevan, B&L Account Executive, will be giving a presentation during the 122nd Metalcasting Congress. Hosted in beautiful Fort Worth, Texas this year by the American Foundry Society, the Metalcasting Congress is the annual leading industry event for education and networking among metalcasters.

McCrevan will be speaking on “Integrating your Quality Management System with your Enterprise Resource Planning System” at 8am on Wednesday April 4th. McCrevan is a member of the AFS Division 1/Y Committee (Engineering/Process and Systems Improvement) whose mission is to equip foundries with the knowledge and techniques to enable them to utilize quality principles to plan, integrate, and continually improve, thus optimizing the company’s business practices.

“As a business process best practice, quality is the bottom line. Without quality, whatever software you use, your product is getting scrapped and returned. Whatever ERP you use, quality should be part of your KPIs,” notes McCrevan, “The goal of this presentation is to show metalcasters some of the ways in which an ERP system, any ERP system, can make the job of managing quality more efficient.”

McCrevan has extensive expertise in the fields of manufacturing operation and the software systems which support those operations. Since 2006, McCrevan has been with B&L Information Systems, first providing technical customer support and then in business development helping potential customers understand the benefits of ERP. Prior to joining B&L Information Systems, McCrevan spent 20 years with a software firm whose MRP solutions included shop floor production and process monitoring systems for scheduling, quality systems, production reporting, maintenance planning, and labor tracking. McCrevan is an Air Force veteran and received an Associates of Arts and Sciences in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Northeastern University. He also holds an Associate’s degree in Accounting from Southwestern Michigan College and has participated in manufacturing quality certification (ASQC) classes at Indiana University-South Bend.

The 122nd Metalcasting Congress is open to both members and non-members. Manufacturers in the metalcasting sector are encouraged to attend.
