Bridgman, Michigan, March 30, 2017 - B&L Information Systems, global leader in ERP software for metalcasters, has issued Odyssey 5.0 MR3 to general availability. Among the software improvements created by B&L's R&D team, Odyssey 5.0 MR3 includes refinements to the Odyssey CRM module released in late 2016 as an integrated part of the Odyssey ERP solution.
Among the more than 300 enhancements to Odyssey, of specific note are the enhancements to Odyssey's CRM module, which include: Dated Notes for RFQs, Email Signature, Social Media links for both contacts and customers, and RFQs and Quotes for Prospects (Web UI Only). The R&D staff at B&L continues to focus each release of Odyssey on embedding more Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for customer use, including: User Defined Company goals, ("create your own" goals, which might include: employee training, safety statics, health care costs, etc.), Rolling Periods, and numerous standard KPIs.
Adding CRM functionality to Odyssey was a common sense move, according to Vice President of Business Development, Matt Gacek. The process of integrating CRM and ERP combines the customer, manufacturing, and inventory data already in the system and creates a powerful, easy-to-use tool for all departments in a company.
"An ERP system that is integrated with CRM allows customer data to be enriched with information, such as: supply chain management details, purchase history, billing and shipping details, accounting and financial information," explained Gacek. "What that means for Odyssey customers is that whether in sales, management, or right on the shop floor - with Odyssey ERP every employee can access critical client-specific information to help provide superior customer service and better fulfill their job function."
Odyssey 5.0 MR3 information is now available via the B&L customer portal (Customer Login) for customers who host Odyssey on their own servers. Any assistance needed in the update process is free for any customers on maintenance with B&L. Odyssey customers on the B&L Cloud will be contacted by B&L's Technology Department with the update schedule, as Technology will be using this opportunity to move all Cloud users to the more secure HTTPS environment. User Installation Instructions for Odyssey 5.0 MR3
Below is a link to an installation questionnaire form that you will need to complete before B&L can schedule your installation. It is imperative that you provide all of the requested information so that B&L's Support Team can verify that your system meets the prerequisites for the Odyssey 5.0 MR3 installation.
Please supply three preferred dates, in order of preference, and indicate any circumstances, such as plant shutdown, that makes one date preferable to the others. As always, B&L will schedule the upgrades in the order that they are received, while making every effort to accommodate special circumstances.
