Bridgman, MI, July 9, 2015 - At the beginning of June, B&L Information Systems sent a consulting team to Ontario, Canada to meet with a new client, Alumco, for implementation planning.  Signed as a B&L customer in the second quarter of 2015, Alumco is B&L's first new Canadian customer of 2015 and B&L's ninth implementation "kick-off" meeting of 2015.

Alumco is a family-owned, ISO 9001:2000 certified foundry specializing in commercial, industrial and military aluminum castings.  Founded in 1987 by Ludwig (Lou) Osfolk, today Alumco is run by Ludwig's sons, both of whom were educated at McMaster University in Mechanical Engineering. Philip Osfolk, P. Eng., is the vice-president of Operations, while Anton Osfolk, P. Eng., is the vice-president of Sales & Marketing.

As a small business with less than 20 full-time employees, the staff at Alumco currently enhances their Microsoft Access and Sage Simply Accounting use with common-sense initiatives such as visual instruction aids for product set-up. This combination of technology and hands-on innovation has made Alumco known for continuous quality improvement and customer satisfaction.

"The decision to move to the Odyssey ERP system is a growth strategy," stated Philip Osfolk. "Our current system is not scalable. To better serve our current and future clients we need a tighter inventory and the ability to consistently forecast production."

Implementation training plans are customized for every B&L customer. Alumco staff will undergo a business process review as well as commit to a company education plan for training on the Odyssey software. This company-specific Odyssey ERP training can include in-person training, on-line training, and video training options; it will also include the use of B&L�s proprietary process document templates.
